Hundred years old enterprise, the more than 200 levadas in Madeira are water canals, with a network extending for 2500 kilometers, serving as a guideline for many paths through the Laurissilva forest. “Caldeirão Verde” and “Rabaçal – 25 Fontes” are some of the better known.
